V-Nova will partner with Divitel to bring PERSEUS professional solutions to a broad customer base, reducing video bandwidth requirements and obtaining irresistible ‘beyond bandwidth’ advantages. The partnership agreement will be officially signed at V-Nova’s stand (14.M23) at this year’s IBC 2015 trade show in Amsterdam.
V-Nova’s PERSEUS is an advanced video compression technology that enables operators to differentiate their products, increase market penetration, and provide otherwise undeliverable services using existing infrastructure and workflows. PERSEUS is based on principles underlying human vision to deliver significant and simultaneous improvements in compression, picture quality, processing speed, latency and power consumption. For broadcast contribution applications, PERSEUS is available on software-defined platforms based on off-the-shelf hardware, enabling flexible cost-effective deployment.
