Amsterdam, 10 September 2015 V-Nova Ltd., a leading provider of video compression solutions, is entering into a strategic partnership with Divitel B.V., Europe’s largest independent systems integrator in innovative video distributions solutions.

V-Nova will partner with Divitel to bring PERSEUS professional solutions to a broad customer base, reducing video bandwidth requirements and obtaining irresistible ‘beyond bandwidth’ advantages. The partnership agreement will be officially signed at V-Nova’s stand (14.M23) at this year’s IBC 2015 trade show in Amsterdam.

V-Nova’s PERSEUS is an advanced video compression technology that enables operators to differentiate their products, increase market penetration, and provide otherwise undeliverable services using existing infrastructure and workflows. PERSEUS is based on principles underlying human vision to deliver significant and simultaneous improvements in compression, picture quality, processing speed, latency and power consumption. For broadcast contribution applications, PERSEUS is available on software-defined platforms based on off-the-shelf hardware, enabling flexible cost-effective deployment.

“Divitel is proud to join the V-Nova’s consortium to enlarge the amount of technical possibilities for European based independent systems integrator,” stated Hans Kornmann, CEO of Divitel. V-Nova has taken up the challenge of constantly growing data volumes and ever rising data rates. The paradigm-shifting performance of PERSEUS will accelerate new opportunities, such as UHD and remote production, enabling broadcasters to take full advantage of off-the-shelf platforms and to take on challenges in the distribution infrastructure. “These innovative opportunities are the perfect additional features for our ecosystem and will improve our ability to design, build and maintain the best video solutions for our customers,” says Hans Kornmann.

“Since its award-winning NAB 2015 debut, PERSEUS has transitioned from being a “novelty” to an established commercial “reality” at IBC. Successful partnerships and deployments, such as this new collaboration with Divitel, confirm that PERSEUS is here to stay and will be driving long-term value for its partners and customers. The acceptance of PERSEUS for mission critical applications in multiple demanding industries underscores this point. We are just at the beginning of the PERSEUS story,” concluded Eric Achtmann, V-Nova Executive Chairman & Co-Founder.

The agreement for the new partnership will be officially signed at the V-Nova’s stand (14.M23) at the IBC trade show in Amsterdam at 10 am on 12th September 2015.
