Marlin Developer Community is a widely adopted open standards-based DRM system, which got co-founded by five companies (Philips, Sony, Panasonic, Samsung and Intertrust) in 2006. The end-to-end DRM development platform is efficient, easy to use and applicable to a variety of content types, format types and platforms. The multimedia content protection technology integrates into existing content distribution systems and uses industry standards from W3C, ISO, IETF, OASIS and others. MDC aims to be the only truly interoperable and open digital content sharing platform.
