Caiway is an innovative and progressive service provider in the Netherlands who continuously improves their end user proposition. After having a successful interactive TV proposition on all devices they now move into a new level. The number of multiscreen channels is extended! End users can now enjoy almost all the channels in the basic TV package on multiscreen devices.
We already designed, built and maintained Caiway’s platform for several years, but since last week we also successfully upgraded the multiscreen platform. In a short time frame we managed to upgrade the existing transcoders, packagers and streamers. The platform can now stream almost all the channels from the basic TV pakage to selected iOS and Android devices. These channels are streamed in adaptive bitrate in order to offer an optimal user experience to the end users.
