DevOps Engineer
A key link between Development and Operations: design, deploy and continuously improve complex video streaming platforms, with automation, scalability and reliability as your guiding principles.
About the role
At Divitel we change the way video and networks work. We make sure telecoms, technology partners and broadcasters can resolve problems before users ever notice them. As a DevOps Engineer you are a crucial bridge between development and operations. You work in Agile sprints and focus on designing, deploying and improving complex video streaming platforms. You will manage cloud infrastructure alongside video platform components such as CDN, middleware, encryption services and transcoders, and you will drive the automation that keeps it all running reliably at scale.
What you will do
- Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automation scripts to make releases faster, safer and more consistent
- Manage, monitor and optimise servers, networks, cloud services and video platform components including CDN, middleware, encryption and transcoders
- Proactively identify and resolve operational issues, with minimal downtime as the standard
- Introduce new tools, frameworks and methodologies to continuously improve platforms and delivery processes
- Work in Agile sprints alongside development and service management teams, contributing to a strong DevOps culture
- Support platform engineers in defining deployment patterns and infrastructure requirements for new capabilities
What we are looking for
- Bachelor's degree in IT or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform and Ansible
- Solid knowledge of Linux systems and cloud platforms
- Automation-first mindset: automating repetitive work is your default, not an afterthought
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in fast-moving operational environments
- Fluent in Dutch and English; comfortable working in an international team
Nice to have
- Programming or scripting skills (Python, Bash, or similar)
- Background in IPTV, OTT, broadband or broadcast technology
- Experience with observability and monitoring tooling (Grafana, Prometheus, or similar)
- Familiarity with Agile or DevOps frameworks and certifications
