Senior Platform Engineer

About the role

As a Senior Platform Engineer on the MindRelay team, you will be responsible for the architecture and reliability of the platform that ingests, processes, and visualises operational data from 50+ data agents across our clients' infrastructure. You will work closely with our data and product teams to ship features that directly impact operator uptime and subscriber experience.

What you will do

• Design and evolve the MindRelay platform architecture, focusing on scalability, reliability, and observability
• Build and maintain data ingestion pipelines that process millions of events per day from multi-vendor environments
• Own the platform runtime: Kubernetes deployments, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code
• Collaborate with operations teams to translate monitoring requirements into platform capabilities
• Mentor junior engineers and drive technical decision-making within the team
• Participate in on-call rotation and contribute to incident post-mortems

What we are looking for

• 5+ years of backend or platform engineering experience
• Strong proficiency in Python and/or Go
• Experience with event streaming systems such as Kafka or RabbitMQ
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and container-based deployments
• Solid understanding of observability concepts: metrics, logs, traces
• Experience with time-series databases (InfluxDB, TimescaleDB, or similar)
• Fluent in English; Dutch is a plus

Nice to have

• Experience in telecom, IPTV, or broadcast environments
• Familiarity with SNMP, MPEG monitoring, or video QoE metrics
• Experience with Grafana, Prometheus, or similar observability stacks
• Contributions to open-source projects
