Video Operations Engineer
Join our Network Operations Centre and take ownership of mission-critical IPTV and OTT platforms for operators across Europe and beyond.
About the role
Our Managed Services team operates as the 24/7 NOC for a growing portfolio of telecom and media operators. As a Video Operations Engineer, you will be the first line of defence against platform incidents, using MindRelay and a suite of specialist tooling to monitor, diagnose, and resolve issues before subscribers are affected. You will work in a structured shift environment with a team of specialists who collectively keep millions of subscribers connected.
What you will do
- Monitor IPTV, OTT, and broadband platforms across multiple operator environments using MindRelay and vendor tooling
- Triage and resolve incidents following established runbooks, escalating where required
- Perform routine platform health checks, configuration changes, and scheduled maintenance tasks
- Document incidents thoroughly and contribute to post-incident reviews
- Identify recurring issues and work with engineering teams to drive structural fixes
- Support operators during peak events such as major broadcasts or product launches
What we are looking for
- 2+ years of experience in a technical operations, NOC, or support engineering role
- Understanding of IPTV and/or OTT platform architecture
- Working knowledge of Linux systems administration
- Familiarity with networking fundamentals: IP, VLAN, routing, multicast
- Ability to work in shifts, including evenings and weekends
- Strong written and verbal communication in English
Nice to have
- Experience with Nagios, Zabbix, or similar monitoring tools
- Knowledge of MPEG-2/4 transport streams and video quality monitoring
- Experience with middleware platforms such as Ericsson, Amdocs, or Espial
- CCNA or equivalent networking certification
